Construction of Fort Sill Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Center (LETRA)

Construction began on 6 August 1996 and was completed on 21 May 1998. The outdoor recreation facility at Lake Elmer Thomas includes a restaurant, maintenance shop, two bath house/laundry buildings, fishing pier, country store, water slide, 18 hole miniature golf course, public toilets, 50 RV sites, primitive tent sites and a beach. LETRA offers a high-quality, water-based recreation program.
