SSG Laura Elizabeth Snyder (Performer) SSG Snyder was born in Iowa City, Iowa. She joined her school choir in eighth grade and has been singing ever since. In high school, she was an active member of show choirs and the dance team. She joined the Army Reserves in 2000 started college where she found her way back into the musical world. She deployed to Iraq in 2004 and during her tour, she sang the National Anthem for many different functions. Someone heard her sing and informed her of the Soldier Show, which immediately struck her interest. She only hopes God will allow her to continue singing and dancing, as both are her passions. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continuous support.
