USA EXPRESS
The U.S. Army Entertainment Division is now recruiting for its USA Express Deployable
Musical Performance Group. The crew is scheduled to tour during the summer of 2008.
They are currently seeking Soldier instrumentalists, vocal
performers, and an audio technician. Primary instrumentalists sought include keyboard,
bass, guitar, lead guitar, and drums. Other instrumentalists may apply to be part of
the group.
Vocal performers are required to be comfortable with a variety of styles of
music, to have some movement ability and to be able to communicate effectively with an
audience. Audio technicians must be qualified to operate a PA system, including the
ability to operate a basic digital audio sound mix board and have a rudimentary knowledge
of audio equalization.
To audition for USA Express, men and women of the U.S. Army with the rank of sergeant or below must mail a demo tape or CD and current copy of their Enlisted Record Brief, Physical Training Test and military license to U.S. AED Attention: USA Express, P.O. Box 439, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.
