The Department of the Army BOSS Program’s Army Wide Training Forum was held on May 1-4 2007 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne Virginia. The forum trained 225 active duty Soldiers, Command Sergeants Major, and MWR professionals from all around the world.
This year’s theme was BOSS Strong. Supporting the Mission. It symbolized the BOSS program’s commitment to transformation. The forum helped prepare BOSS programs to better integrate into the mission from pre-deployment to re-deployment.
Several VIP’s showed their support for the program by speaking and updating attendees of the forum on the changes around the Army. They consisted of LTG James Campbell, Director of the Army Staff, SMA Kenneth Preston, Sergeant Major of the Army, BG(P) John McDonald, Deputy Commanding General of IMCOM, CSM Debra Strickland and CSM Willie Ash, Command Sergeants Major of IMCOM, BG Belinda Pinckney, Commanding General of Family and MWR Command, SGM Willie Wilson, Sergeant Major of Family and MWR Command, and CSM Croom, G1 Command Sergeant Major.
The forum was also a way for installations to show the many accomplishments from the year of 2006 in the form of competition. The competition was conducted using the size of the installation by active duty single Soldier population.
