Applying for All Army Sports

Active duty, U.S. Army Reserves (USAR), Army National Guardsmen (ARNG) and Active Guard Reserves (AGR) are eligible to apply for sports within the All Army Sports Program. Currently we offer the following sports: Boxing (Men and Women); Wrestling (Men); Taekwondo (Men and Women); Track and Field (Men and Women); Cross Country (Men and Women); Basketball (Men and Women); Volleyball (Men and Women); Softball (Men and Women); Bowling (Men and Women); Racquetball (Men and Women); Golf (Men and Women); Soccer (Men and Women); Rugby (Men); and Marathon (Men and Women).

Active duty soldiers must apply through their installation sports office. Applicants must have graduated basic training and advanced individual training (AIT). Active duty officers must have graduated their basic course and be assessed. All applications must be submitted through the All Army Automated website https://armysports.cfsc.army.mil.
USAR and ARNG soldiers must submit the following forms:
- Letter from the State releasing them from active duty
- DA Form 4762-R
- DA Form 4763-R (if applying for boxing)
- DD Form 93 (Emergency Record Data)
- SGLV 8286 (Service Members' Group Life Insurance)
- Direct Deposit Sign-up Form
- DA Form 3685 (Jumps - JSS Pay Elections)
- DA Form 5960 (Authorization to Start Basic Allowance)
- DD Form 2058 (State of Legal Residence Certificate)
- DA Form 1058-R (Application for Active Duty)
- Form W-4 (Employees Withholding Allowance Certificate)
- HIV test RESULTS completed within 6 months of trial camp and/or championship where trial camp is not offered.
AGR soldiers must submit applications through the All Army Automated website https://armysports.cfsc.army.mil and a copy of their active duty orders/contract showing they will be on active duty through the training camp and/or championship. USAR, ARNG and AGR soldiers, if selected to participate, will be assisted by the closest installation sports office for all information reference trial camps, championships and travel arrangements.
Requirements by Sport
ARMY TEN MILER (8 members):
All experience listed on application should be detailed reflecting experience competing in the sport of distance running. The eight member team will be comprised of both men and women, based on the fastest certified times.

CISM PARACHUTING - (MEN & WOMEN)
Experience in the sport of Parachuting, including information as to what age one began competing in Parachuting, name, and location of sky diving clubs associated with, all parachuting events competed in, rankings, event resume’s and results printouts showing order of finish. Include any MVP/Most Improved type awards, all or any team recognitions, and other honors in the sport.

ARMED FORCES/CISM JUDO :
The National Governing Body (NGB) for USA Judo uses the criteria below to classify and rank Judo athletes at the National level. This criterion is used to determine travel, training, and team selection opportunities for athletes that will represent the U.S. in Judo competition. Individual athletes will be classified as an A-E level athlete, based on the tournaments they participated in and placement (i.e., an athlete who places in A+ level events will earn A+ level classification).
Selection Criteria - Armed Forces Team - Judo
IRONMAN:
Experience in the sport of Triathlon and any honors received. Results of recent races (within past three years), with focus on IRONMAN distance races. Required with application:
- Copy of current USA Triathlon membership card

CISM Sailing:
Applications for CISM Sailing are by application only. The two person crew will be competing in the International Enterprise Class. All applicants need to emphasize all international experience in that boat class on their applications.
CISM Track and Field:
Primary criteria will be United States Track and Field (USATF) "A" standards. "B" standards may be accepted for positions that do not have enough applicants that qualify with an "A" standard. All marks will be compared to the posted results from the last three CISM championship events. Selections will be based on anticipated positive showing at the Military World Games and contention for medals.
Boxing (Men & Women):
- a. Number of bouts, wins, loses, competition weight class (106lbs (48kg), 112lbs (51kg), 119lbs (54kg), 125lbs (57kg), 132lbs (60kg), 139lbs (63kg), 147lbs (67kg), 156lbs (71kg), 165lbs (75kg), 178lbs (81kg), 201lbs (91kg), and 201+ (91+kg), USA Boxing passbook number
- b. Medical examination: Statement from Medical Doctor (MD), or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), "there is no apparent medical reason this individual cannot compete as a member of All Army and Armed Forces Boxing Teams at National or International Competition."

Wrestling (Men & Women):
- a. Number of matches and record, weight class (54kg (119lbs), 58kg (127.86lbs), 63kg (138.88lbs), 69kg (152.11lbs), 76kg (167.54), 85kg (187.39lbs), 97kg (213.84lbs), 130kg (275.57); age began wrestling
- b. Medical Examination: Statement from Medical Doctor (MD), or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), "there is no apparent medical reason this individual cannot compete as a member of All Army and Armed Forces Wrestling Teams at National or International Competition."

Taekwondo (Men & Women):
Experience in the sport including information as to age began participating and any honors in the sport. There are National and International Governing Body Requirements that must be included in the application packet:
- Copy of membership card for USA Taekwondo verifying membership in All-Army Taekwondo Association (#2135)
- Copy of Black Belt certification (must be from Kukkiwon to participate in CISM)
- Copy of proof of US citizenship (Passport or Birth Certificate). A Passport is required to be considered for CISM.
- Results of Medical Examination with a statement that there are no medical reasons that this individual cannot compete in the sport of Taekwondo.
- Individual must provide all protective and competitive gear for the sport; i.e., dobok, chest protector, protective forearm and shin pads, headgear, fitted mouth guard.

Cross-Country (Men & Women):
Copy of USTF (United States Track and Field) membership; 12K & 5K races for men; 5K races for women; only submit races within past two years. If you cannot provide 12k time, submit 10k & 15K times. Men must state which race they prefer to race in as a first choice, men will race in one or the other.

WOMEN’S AND MEN’S TRIATHLON:
Experience in the sport of distance running/track, cycling, swimming and triathlon, including information as to what age one began competing in triathlon, name, and location of triathlon clubs associated with, all triathlons competed in, age group rankings, race resumes and race result printouts showing order of finish. Include any MVP/Most Improved type awards, all or any team recognitions, and other honors in the sport.

Men's Softball:
Age began playing, highest level of competition, highest ASA classification in which you regularly competed, any MVP awards for tournaments, college or high school experience, starting positions.

WOMEN’S SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL:
Experience in the sport including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. Starting shortstop, “The Mustangs”, ASA Class B slow-pitch, Jonesville, GA 1999-2001 or First Base, Ft Someplace post team 2002-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, or other honors in the sport.

Basketball (Men):
Age began playing, highest level of competitions, any MVP awards for tournaments, college or high school experience, starting positions.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL:
Experience in the sport including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. Power forward, Albright College, Div II, 1998-2002 or Guard, Ft Someplace post team 2002-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, or other honors in the sport.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S GOLF:
Experience in the sport of golf including information as to what age one began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e., Penn State University, Div I, 1998-2002 or, Springfield Country Club Champion 2005, or Ft United post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, any official amateur or professional competitions and placings, all-tourney team, coaches’ letters of recommendation, newspaper articles or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - Golf
Men's Rugby:
Experience in the sport including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. University of Northern Iowa, Div II, 1998-2002 , Ft Excellence post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - Rugby
Women's Rugby:
Experience in the sport including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. University of Northern Iowa, Div II, 1998-2002 , Ft Excellence post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - Rugby
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S MARATHON:
Experience in the sport of distance running/track, including information as to what age one began running, name, and location of track or running clubs associated with, all marathons or other distance events competed in, age group rankings, race resume’s and race results printouts showing order of finish. Include any MVP/Most Improved type awards, all-county/district/state, etc team recognitions, or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - Women's and Men's Marathon
WOMEN’S AND MEN’S VOLLEYBALL:
Experience in the sport including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. libero, University of Northern Iowa, Div II, 1998-2002 or outside hitter, Ft Excellence post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - WOMEN’S AND MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Bowling (Men & Women):
SPORTS STANDARDS – BOWLING
Current USBC house league average for men: 200; women: 170; and/or current sports league average for men: 180; women 160. Required with application:
- Copy of current membership card from United States Bowling Congress
- Statement from bowling center manager or league secretary verifying league average(s) (minimum 21 games required)

CYCLING-ROAD (MEN & WOMEN):
Army Sports will not be competing in the sport of Cycling during 2007.

Women's Soccer:
Experience in the sport of soccer including information as to what positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. sweeper, Lycoming College, Div III, 1998-2002 or goalie, Ft United post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, coaches’ letters of recommendation, newspaper articles or other honors in the sport.
Selection Criteria - Women's Soccer
Men's Soccer:
Experience in the sport of soccer including information about positions played, age began playing, name, level, and location of teams played on (i.e. sweeper, Lycoming College, Div III, 1998-2002 or goalie, Ft United post team 2003-present). Include any MVP awards, all-tourney team, coaches’ letters of recommendation, newspaper articles or other honors in the sport.
