| Directions: | Directions to Outdoor Recreation: I-565 to Jordan Lane exit. Go south on Jordan Lane (aka Patton Road) to gate 10 (everyday 0500 to 2400). Once on post at third traffic light turn left, into the woods, on Sportsman Drive. Directions to Campground: I-565 to Jordan Lane exit. Go south on Jordan Lane (aka Patton Road) to gate 10 (everyday 0500 to 2400). Follow Patton Road approximately 7 miles to stop sign at Buxton Road. Turn right on Buxton Road, go 2.5 miles to Shields Road, turn left. Shields Road takes you to the Tennessee River and the campground. The northwest corner of Buxton and Shields is the location of the dump station. |

| Directions: | To Campsite: If you exit off I-65 North bound onto Bell street, via the Herron exit you enter the Bell Street gate. This will put you on Maxwell Blvd. You then continue on for about one and half miles which where basically, Maxwell Blvd ends, then turn left onto Kelly St. Continue on Kelly until it ends, turn right onto March St and continue around until you see the Campgrounds on the left. Now if you come in off I-65 south bound or off I-85 south bound onto Day street, you enter the base at the Day Street gate. Once on base, you will come to a traffic light, turn left, you will go to the very next street, past the service station, turn left. You will pass the BX and parking lot on your right. Go to the Yield sign and turn left. That puts you onto Kelly Street. You continue about a quarter mile and turn right onto March St. follow that around until you see the camp on the left. Sign in at the office. |

Note: Golden Age Passport NOT accepted. Office is open from Monday - Friday from 0700 - 1600 hours. After hours and on week-ends there is an after hours sign in located at the front door of the office. The camp ranger lives near the office in site 5 and normally is there and will sign you in anytime, week-ends included. They normally have spaces for overnighters. They have a laundry room, which has 2 washers and 2 dryers and a bathhouse with showers. There are two lakes at the Campground with fishing allowed for the campground residents. No license or permit required while staying in the campground. There is very little shade on the sites so they are sunny, each full hook-up site has a covered patio with table. There is also a above ground grill at each site. Over flow sites have a table and above ground grill available.
