Army Career Skills Program
The Army Career Skills program is an element of the Soldier Life Cycle that encourages eligible Soldiers to capitalize on training opportunities during transition to turn their military skills into post-service careers. CSP is authorized by the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) Act and includes opportunities for pre-apprenticeships/ apprenticeships, internships, job shadow, on-the-job training (OJT) and employment skills training with approved industry partners.

ACES promotes lifelong learning, readiness and resilience through flexible and relevant education programs, services and systems in support of the Total Army Family by providing education and career counseling, testing, assessment, and evaluation services, leadership development, tuition assistance, career management and transition assistance.
Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program
The Army is committed to ensuring lifelong success for our Soldiers and their families by connecting them with opportunities for career skills and employment, post military service. The Soldier-for-Life-Transition Assistance Program helps transitioning Soldiers to make informed career decisions through benefits and employment assistance counseling. The program connects America’s premier employers and community organizations with Soldiers, Veterans and Families in order to keep them Army Strong and promote their values, ethos and leadership within communities
Soldier For Life- Retirement Services
The Army Soldier for Life Retirement Services Program provides assistance to Soldiers and their Families preparing for and transitioning to retirement, Families of Soldiers who die on active duty and Retired Soldiers, surviving Spouses and their Families. Through a network of Retirement Services Officers (RSOs) at major Army installations, National Guard State Headquarters, and Army Reserve Regional Support Commands worldwide, they: 1) provide counseling to these groups on their rights, benefits and entitlements, 2) assist with Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) elections, 3) assist with Reserve Component Survivor Benefit Plan (RCSBP) elections and 4) keep the retiree population informed of law and benefit changes.
