
The top 12 Operation Rising Star Finalists will now advance to the Finals (airing on this website and the Pentagon Channel, beginning 11 December).
The top 12 will need audience votes to help advance them in each round of the competition.
The audience will be able to vote online and the votes will count for 50% of the competitors' final score.

Family Member, Kristi Menyfield

Kristi Menyfield is originally from Shreveport, Louisana and has one daughter. Menyfield has been in several bands and auditioned for Destiny's Child when she was 17.
Q: What genre of music is your favorie?
A: Soul/Acoustic/Pop
Q: When did you realize you had a talent for singing?
A: At age 11 or 12 - I was very shy as a child so no one knew I could sing maybe until I was about 14.
Q: What is your all-time favorite song?
A: Don't really have one - love so many songs.
Q: What importance has music played in your life?
A: Music brings so many people from all walks of life together and to me that is so important. I have met so many wonderful talented people since I've been on this journey though music. |

Operation Rising Star is a vocal competition hosted by US Army Family and MWR Programs. Army Garrisons from around the world hosted competitions in the summer of 2011. Twelve of the top contestants from around the Army were selected by a panel of judges to advance to the Final competition, airing on this website, beginning 11 December 2011.
