Reservations: Required. Accepted up to four (4) months in advance for camping. Rates are based on Military / Civilan Rank or Grade. Call for specific rates.


Note:
Winter rates are in effect from Nov. 1 - Mar 15. Monthly discount rates are available on cabins from Nov. 1 - Feb. 28. Prices are also dependent on rank. The snow white beaches surrounded by the sun kissed Emerald Coast of the Gulf of Mexico, make a vacation to Destin, a trip to paradise. The recreation area has 54 motel units 48 RV sites with hookup facilities to include cable TV and telephone. Eligible personnel can also take advantage of nearby Eglin Air Force Base's commissary, BX, and medical facilities. Destin provides many ways to unwind and enjoy a tropical vacation. Charter Boat trips are available for fishing the Gulf of Mexico. Pets are welcome in the Recreation Area on a leash and in designated ares of the campground only. 7A and 7B are the only two (2) designated cabins for pets.

Directions:

Exit I-10 at exit 2 and go South on Pine Forest Rd. (SR 297) approx 3.4 miles and join US-90 South. Follow US-90 South approx. 1 mile, then turn right (West) onto Saufley Field Rd. (SR 296) for approx. 1.4 miles to Millview Rd. (SR 173). Turn left (South) on Millview Rd. which will become Blue Angel Parkway. Follow SR 173 South for approx. 4.6 miles and turn right onto US 98. Follow US 98 West approx. 3.8 miles. Turn left onto Bronson Rd. and follow it to the campground.

Reservations: Recommended.


Note:
Camping prices are Active Duty or Retired/DOD Civilian. Tent site includes platform. Dry storage available for $35.00 per month. Activities include: Paint Ball, boat rental, mini-golf, disc golf, marina, two (2) 18 hole golf courses.

Directions:

From I-275 (westbound), take exit 41 A/B. Follow Dale Mabry Highway south for 6.3 miles to main gate of MacDill AFB. Stay on N. Boundary Ave. (Dale Mabry changes to N. Boundary and turns east on base) past two traffic lights. As the road turns right be in the left lane. At the traffic light in this curve, turn left for a very short distance, then turn right onto Bayshore Blvd, immediately get into center lane as right lane becomes "Right turn only". Follow Bayshore for several miles until it curves right and becomes Golf Course Ave. (FAM-Camp sign at this point). Follow Golf Course Ave. west until it Y's with Marina Bay Dr. (FAM Camp sign here). Go left onto Marina Bay Drive into FAM Camp. Depending on time of day and how busy it is, you can follow Marina Bay Dr. as it turns left at FAM Camp and turn around in the Marina Office parking area or park in the large lot at this left turn and walk to the office to register. If office is closed (open 0700 - 2000) park in the corner lot and dry camp overnight. Do not occupy a camp site before registering.

Reservations: Recommended up to 1 year in advance.


Note:
Reservations may be made up to 365 days in advance with a $100.00 deposit. Reservation charge is $10.00. Maximum stay 180 consecutive days. VISA & MasterCard accepted for reservations and other services including rent. Telephone hook-up costs $55.00 and monthly fees about $15.00. Cable TV is included in $15.00 rent. Propane available at marina. On site minor repairs and washing permitted. Large BX, Commissary, Hospital available on base. Boat rentals available at marina. Many schedule tours from camp. Lots of fishing area with Florida license (if required by Florida law).

On Base. FROM INTERSTATE 10: Exit at Crestview. Highway 85 South to Niceville. West (right) on John Sims Parkway (SR20) to the East Gate of Eglin AFB. Left on Seventh Street. Left on Flagler Road -- follow signs to FAM Camp. Check-in at the Outdoor Adventure Center. FROM HIGHWAY 98: In Ft. Walton Beach, North on Eglin Parkway to the West Gate of Eglin AFB. Stay on Eglin Boulevard going through the base, past the flight line. Right on Seventh Street, left on Flagler Road, then follow signs to FAM Camp. Check-in at the Outdoor Adventure Center.

Reservations: Call for availability. Reservations not accepted.

Located on base. From I-295 take Roosevelt Blvd exit (Hwy US-17) north. The RV Park is located on Birmingham Ave. on the St. John's River. Ask for directions at gate.

Patrick AFB - Manatee Cove FAMCAMP & Beach House

Directions:

On base. From I-95 north or south, take exit 191, located north of Melbourne, east onto Wickam Rd. (SR-509) for 4 miles then proceed east over Pineda Causeway (SR-404) for 5 miles. Turn left onto A1A and travel north for one mile. Turn left onto the base oversize vehicle inspection area. Exit inspection area taking Tech Rd. to Atlas Ave. Turn right onto Rescue Rd. and travel one mile south to the FAMCAMP. Inspection area is open 0600-1700. After hours oversize vehicles must enter at the south gate.

Reservations: Camping reservations accepted up to 30 days in advance from Active Duty only. Beach House reservations are accted from AD, NG, Reservists, Retirees, DoD Civilians and NAF civilians up to six months in advance. Thirty day (30) maximum stay.
Beach House: Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, furnished kitchen, laundry, linens, garage, Florida room overlooking beach. Currently being renovated and is expected to be available Jan 2007. Call (321) 494-2042 for information and reservations.

On Base. From US-1 South to mile marker 3. Right on Sigsbee Annex, turns into Sigsbee Rd. Turn left on Felton Rd. Check in at RV Park office. Summer office hours are 0700-3:30. See camp host after 3:30 pm. No one can check-in after sunset.

Reservations: No reservations accepted (first come first served.)
