Survivor Outreach Services
If you came to this page because you are a surviving Family member, please know we are here for you. Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) is part of the Army's commitment to Survivors -- we are an official Army program conceived of and developed by Survivors. We're dedicated to providing meaningful support and caring counsel to Survivors from all eras and branches of service, regardless of duty status, location, or manner of death.
- We are specially trained to help you understand and apply for benefits (education, housing, and many others).
- We host support groups and events and encourage you to remain a part of the Army Family for as long as you desire.
- We advocate on behalf of your needs and work collaboratively with Army leadership, other government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
SOS is an integral part of Army Community Service (ACS) Centers and Family Programs for the Army National Guard (ARNG) and U.S. Army Reserve (USAR). To learn more and to find the SOS support coordinator near you, see our services locator.
