SGM Jeffrey Guida
Hails from Oregon, Illinois and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2004. He attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Sill, OK and was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 13B Cannon Crewmember. He reclassified to MOS 12P in 2008, when he attended the Prime Power School at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Throughout his career, SGM Guida has held every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. His previous assignments include Garrison CSM at Soto Cano Airbase, Honduras, CSM at the 4th Engineer Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado, Military Equal Opportunity Program SGM at Eighth Army, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, HHC First Sergeant and BN Operations NCO at 92nd EN BN at Fort Stewart, GA; Equal Opportunity Advisor, 30th ADA BDE at Fort Sill, OK; Power Station Sergeant at C Company, 249th EN BN (Prime Power) at Fort Belvoir, VA; Prime Power Supervisor at C Company, 249th EN BN (Prime Power) at Fort Belvoir, VA; Intelligence Sergeant (S2 NCOIC) at HHC, 249th EN BN (Prime Power) at Fort Belvoir, VA; Sr. Power Plant Operator and Power Station Electrician at HHC, 249th EN BN (Prime Power) Fort Belvoir, VA; and an Ammunition Sergeant at HHS, 2/2 FA BN at Fort Sill, OK.
CSM Guida deployed on three (3) OCONUS contingency tours to Afghanistan, Jordan, and Kuwait, and four (4) CONUS responses: Hurricane Ike, Arkansas Ice Storms, Hurricane Sandy, and Alabama Tornadoes.
He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University, has passed the Electrical and Computer Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and is a Licensed Engineer in Training in the state of Georgia. His military education includes Sergeants Major Course (Class 71), Common Faculty Instructor-Developer Course, Equal Opportunity Advisor Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Powerline Distribution Course, Prime Power Production Electrical Specialty Course, and Basic Leaders Course,.
CSM Guida’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Defleury Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Achievement Medal with 6 OLC, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Army Superior Unit Award with 1 OLC, and the Humanitarian Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star.
CSM Guida is married to the former Jessica L. Ellis of Ashton, IL, and they have four children: Branson (11), Abri (9), Elia (6), and Isley (4).
