Happy birthday, ACS – and thanks for 58 years of improving Soldiers’ and Families’ lives!
58 years ago today, Army Chief of Staff General Harold K. Johnson brought Army Community Service into the Army community. Since then, ACS has been helping keep Soldiers and Families resilient, ready, and empowered. Lieutenant Colonel Emma Marie Baird’s efforts helped start it – and then she served as an ACS volunteer for decades after her Army retirement. Hats off to her and our entire ACS Family!
