An official army family and MWR Site
children CYS

Dear Parents:

Child and Youth Services (CYS) is committed to the safe reopening of our child care centers and services and to supporting our Soldiers and Families. Our reopening guidance was developed collaboratively by CYS and Army public health staff, places the health and safety of your children as a top priority, and follows local, state, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations.

We are excited to resume the services military Families count on, and we want to assure you we’re taking the necessary precautions to keep staff and children safe. You should expect to see an enhanced focus on healthy hygiene practices, including handwashing and employee face mask use; improved cleaning, sanitization and ventilation; physical distancing; limited sharing of toys and other items; and enhanced employee training to safeguard the health and wellbeing of your children.

Parents, the success of our reopening plan requires your awareness, understanding, and support. Please join us as partners in protection and prevention. Keep your children home if they’re not well. If they’ve been tested for COVID-19, wait until you get the results to bring them back to CYS facilities. Coach your children to practice good habits like handwashing and physical distancing and prepare them to take these measures in stride. We will all get through this together!

Thank you for your help!
