Get Outdoors with Army ODR
The Get Outdoors with Army ODR program invites the entire MWR community to step outside, explore, and celebrate the best of outdoor recreation from June 1st, 2026 through October 31st, 2026. Every adventure you take at an authorized MWR facility or with MWR equipment becomes your ticket into monthly prize drawings—just by sharing your experience.
A Season of Adventure
From the first warm days of June to the crisp air of October, every hike, paddle, campsite stay, class, or guided trip can become a winning moment. Monthly winners are announced on the second Friday after each qualifying month, keeping the excitement going all season long.
Who Can Join
Anyone authorized to use MWR facilities is welcome—Active Duty, Family Members, DoD Civilians, Retirees, and eligible Civilians. If you can enjoy MWR recreation, you can be part of the adventure.
How to Enter
Every outdoor experience you submit through the official online form becomes an entry into that month’s drawing. The form is quick, simple, and designed to highlight your time outdoors.

Get Outdoors with Army ODR Official Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
The information you provide will be used for the administration of this Sweepstakes and for prize notification purposes.
1. SPONSOR: The Get Outdoors with Army ODR Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Headquarters, Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (IMCOM HQ DFMWR), 2405 Gun Shed Road, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234-1223 (“Sponsor”).
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on May 1, 2026, and ends on October 31, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). The period consists of six (6) monthly entry periods (each a “Monthly Period”): May, June, July, August, September, and October.
3. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to authorized MWR patrons who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry.
The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes:
IMCOM and Garrison Family and MWR (FMWR) employees, officers, and directors.
4. HOW TO ENTER: There is no purchase necessary to enter. To enter, an eligible participant must complete the official online entry form, indicating their status as either "Active Duty" or "Other-than-Active Duty," for each instance of participation in a local Outdoor Recreation (ODR) program or visit to an ODR facility during the Sweepstakes Period.
An "instance of participation" includes, but is not limited to, attending an ODR class, participating in an ODR trip, staying at an ODR RV Park or Recreational Lodging Facility or renting equipment from an ODR facility. Each completed online form submission constitutes one (1) entry into the random drawing for the corresponding Monthly Period. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per day. Non-winning entries from one Monthly Period will not carry over into subsequent drawings.
5. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV):
Twelve (12) Grand Prizes will be awarded in total. Two (2) prizes will be awarded for each Monthly Period, one (1) to a winner from each of the following categories:
One (1) Active Duty Winner
One (1) Other-than-Active Duty Winner
Each Grand Prize will consist of an Outdoor Camping Package. The specific contents and Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the prize package will be determined by the Sponsor at a later date. The prize is non-transferable, non-substitutable, and has no cash value. All prizes will be identical. Prize voucher will expire 365 days from issue date.
6. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: On or about the 15th of each following month (e.g., June 15 for May entries), the Sponsor will conduct two (2) separate random drawings to select potential winners for the preceding Monthly Period:
a) One (1) drawing from all eligible entries submitted by participants identifying as "Active Duty".
b) One (1) drawing from all eligible entries submitted by participants identifying as "Other-than-Active Duty".
The odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received in each respective category for each Monthly Period.
Potential winners will be notified by the Sponsor via email. The potential winner will be required to respond within five (5) business days. If a potential winner does not respond within the specified time, is found to be ineligible, or fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries for that category and month.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries. Any attempt to tamper with the entry process will result in disqualification.
8. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name and likeness for promotional purposes without further payment or consideration.
9. LIABILITY: By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize.
10. GOVERNING LAW: All issues and questions concerning these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
